Welcome to the home page of the Somerset Bears. We are a full contact football team and a proud member of the BEFF professional football league's Northern Division. Excitement and winning atomsphere has opened our inaugural season.
In our inaugural season the Bears have won the division champioship of the Empire Conference with an undefeated season record of 10 - 0.

BNEFF/BEFF HISTORY
The Big East Football Federation (BEFF) was created in 2007 by Dexter M Girven & Mr. Alex Alston Jr. and six understanding owners. The sole purpose for this league was to create a true adult mentorship circle for young men from all walks of life. The only way that we felt we could reach them was threw Sport, full contact sport.
When the league first started we had only six teams and those team owners understood the task and accepted the mission "Bring them in and make them over and send them out into the world as better men " We are proud of the fact that thru our efforts we have turned out Better fathers ! Better husbands! Responsible job workers! We have broken many gang ties in the process and I personally like to feel that we have saved many lives across our two great leagues.
Our players who participate in the league truly understand their very own communities and the people that live within them. Our owners and coaches are not just what the title says but men and women who care, they encourage! They build up! They make these men feel important, they improve these young men's self worth and their lives and WE do it all for concern and care.
WE do this for the love of the game and the very ones who encompass us. Here in the BNEFF / BEFF, WE continue to make the difference in these young men's lives every second of every day and it feels great!
THREE YEARS LATER
Our mission has spread like wild fire! We now cover NY, NJ, PA, VA, and NC. We have grown into 2 fantastic Adult football leagues! The Big North East Football Federation which starts in late July – summer to fall, the Big East Football Federation – Fall to winter. Our mission is still the same. Teach life skills! Build! Instruct! Direct! Measure personal Growth! Self purpose! We now stand at over 35 teams spread out over two leagues. Our humble staff is comprised of some of the most dynamic personalities in the North East. We see the results of hard work put in by our ever so growing and caring family.
